St Ives 4s travelled to Spalding on a glorious warm autumn afternoon. The game started with both teams have fairly equal possession, creating chances which were either missed or saved. It was later in the first half that Spalding were able to score to go in to half time 1-0 up.
The second half saw Spalding much the better of the two teams. Spalding continued to put pressure on the St Ives defence and although St Ives were on occasions able to press forward, it was Spalding who started scoring. By 4-0 down, St Ives were able to get a conciliatory goal from Richard Kellett but only for Spalding to score quickly after the game re-started to finish 5-1.
A special mention goes out to Warren Bigwood for turning up at St Ives for an away fixture. He was able to make it to the game for half-time.
