Ladies 1 vs Cambridge South 2

St Ives ladies take another 3 points with their fourth win from 4 games.

St Ives started off with some great attacking play and were unlucky to get any goals in the first half. The home side knew that it was going to be a tough game against a strong Cambs South side. Ives had to dig deep to battle against physical opposition.

After a change of home team socks at half time, Ives came out fighting once again - putting the pressure back on Cambs South. A wayward pass from Abby Scarrow found Shelley Lloyd making a run into the D from right back. A great strike was saved by the keeper but Jules Griffiths was there on the rebound to put Ives in the lead.

The home side had to defend hard as the visitors stepped up a gear to find the equaliser. However, the back line were solid and Ives took the 3 points.

Player of the match went to Shelley Lloyd for some solid defending and great support in attack.
