A hard fought game with the top of the league team resulted in the first loss in 9 games for St Ives on Saturday.
The girls battled well, some superb passages of play and were awarded a plethora of short corners. A team effort saw Shelley, Chloe and Alice share a three way tie for man of the match. The goal sneaked past the solid defence in a well worked short corner routine, close to the end of the game and it was an unfortunate result to an enjoyable game of hockey. The poo hat had its own little adventure, not wanting to leave the nearby fire station… but all was well when the smiling face was retrieved and returned safely! 1-0 the final score… onto Uni next….
